'12 Days of Christmas Fitness // day 9 // Body & Soul® Fitness'

'Our 12 Days of Christmas Fitness is a great way to keep your workout routine interesting and your Christmas season purposeful. This is a great option to stay motivated during the holidays while meditating on the REAL meaning of Christmas. Best of all it\'s FREE! That\'s right. It\'s our gift to you this Christmas. This dance cardio routine is choreographed to \"Deck the Halls\" by B-SHOC (feat. Carmello Nix). Today\'s fitness tip: Whether or not you consider yourself a dancer, who doesn’t love this song and the choreographed moves that go so well with it?! Studies show that dancing improves your mood, but that’s not all this B-SHOC song does for you. When Jamie cues for you to hinge forward as you clap to “The Christmas Clap,” it’s so your back extensors are challenged. This muscle group engages when you flex forward, and these important muscles assist with your ability to maintain neutral spine (a.k.a. stand or sit with proper posture). Be sure to remember to contract your abdominal muscles at the same time, because they support your back extensors, and together, these muscle groups keep you dancing the night away!'
