The cool down allows for the gradual recovery of your pre-exercise heart rate and blood pressure. This recovery allows your blood to travel from your extremities (arms and legs) back to your heart, where it can be circulated efficiently to your whole body. The cool down is also an opportunity to improve your flexibility through a routine of stretching. Always cool down after exercising. No workout is complete without it!'
