'How Much Does Holding Onto The Treadmill Bars Really Effect Your Heart Rate? (We Found Out)'

'We did a little experiment at our local Planet Fitness to show how much just increasing the incline while walking at 3.5 miles per hour can effect your heart rate. We increase by about 2 degrees every couple minutes and show how we were able to achieve our target heart rates without increasing the speed at all. We also show the effects holding on with your arms has and how this can drastically reduce your heart rate by almost 30% Here is a link from the American Heart Association about Target Heart Rates for exercising: https://www.heart.org/en/healthy-living/fitness/fitness-basics/target-heart-rates Here\'s all of our Wellness Wednesdays Exercise Videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsHdfG1ml_k&list=PLFWkYp9aejo1aQvYbokhnl8QuGhp3UVkp We upload videos about health and wellness and conservation and some of our other hobbies and adventures all the time, so be sure to SUBSCRIBE and hit the BELL for future notifications!'
