'Canada\'s New Food Guide 2019'

'Dr. Jeff here! Today I talk about the recent changes made to the Canadian Food Guide; the first update since 2007. This new guide focuses less on number of portions and servings within 5 food groups, and more on what to put on your plate, what type of proteins you\'re eating, and where your food is coming from. The New Guide Suggests: -1/2 plate fruits and vegetables -1/4 plate protein  -1/4 plate whole grains  The new guide also gears in on healthy fats when cooking: coconut oil, grapeseed oil, and olive oil are all great options.  The updated guide suggests more plant-based proteins, but when eating meat, it is recommended that you look for the \"free-range\" labels on your chicken, pork, or beef.  Have any questions?
