'12 Days of Christmas Fitness // day 11 // Body & Soul® Fitness'

'Our 12 Days of Christmas Fitness is a great way to keep your workout routine interesting and your Christmas season purposeful. This is a great option to stay motivated during the holidays while meditating on the REAL meaning of Christmas. Best of all it\'s FREE! That\'s right. It\'s our gift to you this Christmas. This routine is choreographed to \"Glory to God in the Highest\" by Downhere and consists of strength training: biceps/triceps/rotators. Today\'s fitness tip: In Body & Soul® Fitness workouts, muscle pairs are often the focus of strength training. This is because it’s beneficial to ask one muscle to work while it’s opposing muscle must relax. In this song, you strengthened your biceps and your triceps, and these are paired muscle groups. This means that your biceps contract as your triceps release. Then these muscles switched places and the triceps do the work as the biceps relax. This method promotes the health of your joints as you focus on one muscle on each side of the joint at a time. You are creating muscle strength balance, and this is good for your joints and your muscles!'
